Kauri Foundation & UNDP
At the Kauri Foundation, we are a visionary organization. As a result, we align with similar, like-minded organizations which are committed to improving and enhancing the quality of life for those who truly need it in a culturally competent manner. We work with people and organizations who have innovative community development ideas of their own.
In our research, we noticed that in many areas, our goals and targets closely align with the goals and targets of UNDP - the United Nations Development Programme. We’d like to highlight this extension of the UN as a wonderful resource currently reaching many countries.
UNDP believes that making cities sustainable means creating career and business opportunities, safe and affordable housing, and building resilient societies and economies. Cities play a vital role in world economics, and are responsible for generating 80% of the global GDP (Gross Domestic Product). At the Kauri Foundation, our modularization design and flat pack approach allowing maximum transportation efficiency and reducing overall carbon footprints. With eco-friendly materials and design, our homes will require less energy to maintain comfortable interior living spaces. Our homes are delivered in such a way that by hiring local skilled and un-skilled laborers, we can assist in boosting local economies wherever they are deployed. Imagine both the local and global impact a self-contained, green-living city built from our designs would have!
We are confident that “competition” is required to obtain lasting home solutions for hurting post-disaster communities worldwide. We are confident in our own product and designs, and we welcome the opportunity to highlight effective development programmes that are currently available. Our hope is that you, our audience, realizes that we are not that only foundation working to transform lives.
