Housing Units Vs. Housing Systems
Merriam-Webster dictionary defines “system” as “a regularly interacting or interdependent group of items forming a unified whole”. We at the Kauri Foundation don’t just supply single housing units - we provide self-contained, green-living housing SYSTEMS.
In order for a home to be self-contained, it needs to be able to provide its own solar electricity, water retrieval, and waste removal/recycling. Each of our housing systems incorporates each of these elements in their design. In fact, we’ve gone one step future and incorporated vertical gardening into our housing systems, so that residents can have their own source of food and flowers.
Blue tarp covered shacks aren’t homes. White tents aren’t homes. Life is beautiful, and we are committed to providing beautiful homes to people in post-disaster situations. High quality engineering, designing, and implementation can be counted on in Kauri Foundation housing systems.
Join us in restoring hope and beauty to post-disaster communities!
