Build Back Better

While many are fortunate enough to have never seen a post-disaster community in person, a staggering number are not. Millions of families are reminded daily of the disaster that stole their homes, community, livelihood, and even loved ones. As much as we wish that these natural disasters and traumatic events could be prevented from occurring and so aversely affecting families, these unfortunate events are only becoming more common (Smith, 2022).

Generally, it can take months or even years for families to return to 'normal' after a major disaster. Kauri Foundation desires to make this return to normal as painless and efficient as possible. With our uniquely designed green-living home systems that can withstand hurricane force winds, fires, and even mold and mildew, Kauri Foundation enables post-disaster families the ability to rebuild in weeks, not years. This ability enables people to stay in their communities, revamp local economy, and sculpt a better, more sustainable tomorrow. Our home system solution comes with the capability to customize their new home to meet their needs even better than before. Kauri Foundation desires to make the phrase "Build Back Better" a reality for every post-disaster community.
