An Exciting Announcement!

It is said the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and it was this idea in 2003 that resulted in an organization that had a desire to stand in the post-disaster housing gap and bring land to life.

Fast forward several years, and in 2017 our Founder, Ed Brost, saw a life story on BBC news revealing the story of families fleeing Syria for a life in Europe. The story of the Syrian family made him question how he could respond to the migration of people taking place, and help solve the lack of safe, secure, and dignified housing. Ed's response was, “I am going to step into this and create an organization that brings land to life – creates safe, secure, scalable housing and step into this and not sit on the sidelines.” Thus the Kauri Foundation was conceived.

As of several days ago, the Kauri Foundation now has legal status as a 501(c)(3) public charity. We are overjoyed to say the least! We have completed the next step in accomplishing our mission to invest in and establish healthy communities, improve the living conditions of individuals, and help write a new story for families.

Your donations are tax deductible, and we welcome you to join us in Bringing Land to Life in communities around the globe by partnering with us financially. Together, we are not just building homes, we are rebuilding lives!
